Yogi Bear Haiku By Chris Zito

Haiku is a type of poetry from the Japanese culture. The most common form for Haiku is three short lines.
The first line usually contains 5 syllables, the second line 7 syllables, and the third line contains  5 syllables.

Yogi is hungry.
What’s on the menu for lunch?
Pic-a-nic basket!!!

Boo Boo-best buddy
Follows Yogi anywhere
Cartoon Ed McMahon

Cindy Bear-girlfriend.
Long suffering enchantress?
Or an enabler?

Ranger Smith out foxed
Bear steals from under his nose
How’s he keep his job?

Who says Yogi is
Smarter than the average?
Hanna Barbera

What does Yogi have
That other bears just don’t have?
A helicopter license.
